How is this different
from everything else I've seen or tried?!


I felt like I had to choose between my and my horse’s happiness and following the rules of the horse industry.

As a Parelli Natural Horsemanship Instructor, I followed the system to create what was called Liberty Savvy:

“Make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult.” Groundwork first, online, with escalating phases and an effective Phase 4.

Then offline - but in a contained space. After all, we didn’t want the horse to have the choice to leave. So my horses learned they had to stick around.

When I finally gave JB more freedom - and he chose a larger circle around me  - I failed my first Level 4 Liberty Audition. My certification, my financial security were at risk.

I was baffled. JB never disconnected. His eyes and ears were on me the entire time. He trotted a large circle with healthy posture and beautiful biomechanics, then returned to me in his exaggerated Morgan trot and stopped right in front of me.

To me, it was clear: He was engaged. He was expressive. He was having fun! I was excited when I submitted the video, expected raving reviews.

The response? “FAILED.” We were marked down because I hadn’t asked him to make the circle bigger - and I was told my horse had “disconnected.”

That was the moment everything shifted. I resubmitted what was required to pass - and began searching for a different kind of liberty.

By nature, horses are born followers. JB never left - he simply felt safe enough to create more distance. He was happy. He was playful.
